About The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our LEAD Tuition Team as a Senior Tutor. In this role, you’ll be primarily working on enhancing the engagement and learning experience for students who are often out of education.

Responsible for planning and managing the successful delivery of tuition for Secondary and Post 16 students. The Senior tutor will have overall responsibility for the operational delivery of tuition across pupils’ within the community and student homes and management of associated staffing.

About The Team You’ll Be Working In

LEAD (Learn, Enrich & Develop) Tuition is a new in-house service, created to support the growing needs of students unable to access traditional school environments. The service prioritises personal growth and aims to develop the skills necessary for lifelong success so every student will be empowered to achieve their full potential.

The Senior LEAD Secondary & Post 16 Tutor role will compromise of overseeing a team of tutors providing inspirational leadership so they aspire to achieve the highest possible standards.

Responsible for the operational planning and delivery of tuition through timetabling, venue, and tutor allocation, in addition to implementing a schedule of observations for teaching, learning and assessment that ensure the standards being delivered across the service are accurately evaluated in line with current Ofsted standards.

You will support and advise the LEAD Service manager in the development of an imaginative, forward-looking curriculum and transformational transition programme designed to meet the needs of pupils, and support effective reintegration to full time educational provision.

Teaching Experience: Proven ability to explain complex topics clearly and tailor lessons to meet individual student needs.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey information and interact with students, parents, and possibly other educators.

Organization and Time Management: The ability to plan lessons, manage time effectively, and ensure that learning goals are being met.

Problem-Solving Skills: Capacity to identify learning challenges and create strategies to overcome them.

Professionalism: Punctuality, reliability, and maintaining professional boundaries with students and parents.

Essential for the Role

Enhanced DBS check is required for the role.
