The Teacher Recruitment team, part of the Schools' HR function for the London Borough of Hounslow, manage recruitment of teaching staff into schools across our large, diverse borough. 

Our Primary Teaching Pool is now open for appointments in Hounslow Primary Schools for September 2024.  Our Pool is for all Primary qualified staff or ECTs, requiring a teaching role in Hounslow schools.

Hounslow is a great place to learn and to teach with results above the local and national averages. Teachers appointed to our borough stay longer with us than an average across the UK.

  • Those on current ITT routes who will have acquired UK QTS by Summer 2024
  • Existing ECTs in their first or second year
  • Experienced class teachers
  • Middle leaders - Head of KS, Year or TLR
  • Specialist teachers
  • SENCo 
  • Overseas Trained Teachers awarded UK QTS or with relevant UK classroom experience

As the LA Employer, we support our schools with recruitment and retention of staff, including workload and well-being, as part of the wider School Effectiveness remit.

Once you have submitted your application, your application will be considered against the shortlisting criteria. Successfully shortlisted applicants will have their details released to schools. Headteachers will invite applicants to interview in school.
